Facebook has launched a new application “Facebook Messenger”, which allows you to send free messages instantly , like MSN, but via Facebook .

This application will certainly make many people using MSN Messenger to change their applications.This application is available as of now, to the United States in iOS and Android platform, but a version for BlackBerry will soon be launched. This free application lets you send messages to one person or a group, just as you can do in MSN or BBM which is the version of MSN Messenger for mobile phones from RIM.

This application allows you to send your location and only for those who want to have group conversations . According to the official blog, this application allows messages to be sent independent of Facebook, but can also interact with Facebook, so if you are sending a message to someone who is not online or not in the application, the message is sent as an SMS. It is expected that sooner or later, this interaction between Facebook and outgoing messages may appear in your browser.

This application is already among the top free application of the IOS, and should not take too long to become the same on Android, and this trend will spread through the rest of the world, as it becomes available.
